Troubleshooting The Atlas Database

You can check the status of your atlas database by going to ZodiacPress > Settings > Misc tab. You will see an Atlas Status box like this:

ZodiacPress Atlas Status box

  • The “Status” row should say Active.
  • The “Database table primary key” should say okay.
  • The “Database table index” should say okay.

Please note that if the Status says “installing…” or “Inserting cities data into database” or “Creating table keys…” these are not errors. In this case, please wait for the installation to complete.

If the Status has some other error message, or if the status is Active, but when you try to enter a city on the birth report form, no cities appear, it is time to request help. When you request help, please let us know which browser you used to test your form. For example, some browsers are Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc.

Moving The Atlas From Separate Database to WordPress Database

If you used a separate database for that atlas, but later decide to move the atlas into the WordPress database (the regular way via the plugin settings), the atlas installation will not work until you remove the filter code. The filter code is what you added in step 12 when you originally created the separate database.
